Information We Collect
To take and fulfil an order, we collect only what we actually need to build and deliver your piece:
- Your name, phone number, and email address
- Your shipping address, for delivery or pickup
- The photo, artwork, or image you upload to be framed
- Order details — size, frame, mat, and quantity you select
- Only if you accept advertising cookies: the pages and frames you view on our site (see Cookies & Analytics below)
We don’t ask for anything beyond what’s needed to make and ship your frame.
How We Use Your Information
Your information is used solely to run your order end to end:
- Producing, packaging, and shipping your custom frame
- Sending order confirmations, tracking links, and updates
- Responding when you reach out to our support team
- Keeping records we’re required to for accounting and tax purposes
Your Uploaded Images
We only ever use the photo or artwork you upload to print and frame your order — nothing more.
Kept only briefly, and only for your protection
After your order is delivered, we retain your uploaded image for 5–6 days — solely so we can reprint and reframe it if the piece arrives damaged. Once that window passes, the image is permanently deleted from our systems.
Never misused or shared
We don’t sell, misuse, or share your personal images with any third party, for any reason.
Featured only with your permission
If we’d ever like to feature your framed piece or image on our website or social media, we’ll ask you first — nothing is posted without your explicit consent.
Payments & Security
All payments are processed through trusted, secure payment gateways. Your card and banking details go directly to that gateway — we never see or store your payment details on our own systems.
Third-Party Sharing
We share the minimum information needed with the partners who help us run madewall.com and fulfil your order, and only for that purpose:
- Shopify— our checkout and order system: your contact details, address and order. Payments go through Shopify’s payment partners; we never see your card details.
- Courier partners — your name, address and phone number, to pick up or deliver your piece.
- Cloudflare — hosts our website, securely stores the photos you upload until they are deleted, and gives us anonymous visitor statistics.
- Sentry — tells us when a page or our system breaks, with technical details only (the error, the page, browser and device type), so we can fix it quickly. No names, contact details or photos.
- Resend — delivers the messages you send through our contact and enquiry forms.
- Meta — browsing activity on our site, only if you accept advertising cookies (see above).
We don’t sell or rent your information to advertisers or data brokers, ever.
How Long We Keep Your Data
- Uploaded photos: 5–6 days after delivery, then permanently deleted.
- Order and invoice records: as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires.
- Enquiry messages: until your question is resolved, and no longer than needed.
- Your cookie choice: 12 months in your browser, then we ask again.
Your Rights
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can at any time:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you
- Have it corrected, updated or deleted
- Withdraw your consent, for example to advertising cookies, as easily as you gave it
- Name someone to exercise these rights for you if you are unable to
- Raise a complaint with us, and, if you’re not satisfied with our answer, with the Data Protection Board of India

Children’s Privacy
Madewall.com is intended for use by adults placing orders on their own behalf. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children.
